I am taking everything I learned from the little demo I developed in Love2D and using those same concepts here. You can learn more about that project here.
So, why did I switch from Love2D to Babylon.s?
Well, I wanted to create a game with a sense of depth. I want lights, shading, and shadows. Which the engine provides very easily. Another cool thing is that I can build the Player UI/HUD all with just HTML and CSS. That is what kind of sold it to me. Now I can make something that combines the things I am passionate about which includes programming, art, music. and web design.
Also, it is a lot easier to port the game to mobile if I really wanted to and I think it is cool that I could make a whole website for the game where people could come and play it.
I have only been working on this for a couple of weeks. I will keep this updated. This is more of a weekend project for now.
